On 7-8 October 2022, in Yelets, Russian city of military glory, Deputy Director of the Institute of State and Law under the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vice-President of the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists, Doctor of Law, Professor Alexander Zvyagintsev took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame, the grave of the Unknown Soldier and the monument to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Empire A.A. Khvostov.

As part of the programme of events dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the formation of the Russian Prosecutor’s Office and the 100th anniversary of the memory of Prosecutor General A.A. Khvostov, Alexander Grigorievich delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Lessons of Nuremberg: Universal evil before the court of history.’
The lecture was held during the ll International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Challenges of ensuring the rule of law: History and modernity,’ which was held at Bunin Yelets State University.
After the event, an autograph session was arranged.
