On 21 April 2021, the Moscow international ‘Energy Security Forum: Eurasian Scenario’ was held at the National University of Oil and Gas ‘Gubkin University.’
The Forum was attended by statesmen and scientists, leading experts in the fields of political science, ecology, law, security and technology, heads of international and research organizations, employees of news agencies from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Germany, as well as experts from the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The Forum on Energy Security was organized by the National University of Oil and Gas ‘Gubkin University,’ Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists.
The Forum’s Presidium members were Viktor G. Martynov, Rector of National University of Oil and Gas ‘Gubkin University,’ Vladimir I. Yakunin, Head of the Chair of National Policy at the Faculty of Political Science of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Igor M. Matskevich, President of the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists.
Ivan I. Mushket, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations, addressed the Forum participants with a welcome speech via video link (on behalf of the Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Dmitry A. Kobitsky).
At the end of the event, a Resolution was adopted, which outlined the areas of work of the Moscow international ‘Energy Security Forum: Eurasian Scenario.’ In particular, it was decided to hold the Forum every year, organize joint meetings and conferences with educational organizations and government agencies on a regular basis and involve young people in scientific and practical activities in the field of Russian energy security.
