On 3 March 2023, Chairman of the Youth Department of the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists Ruslan Rashitkhanov held a lecture for students of school No 1270 “Vector”, Moscow. The lecture was held during an event organized by the Admission and Career Guidance Office (Kutafin University (MSAL)).
The lecture was devoted to the forensic traceological examination of shoe prints. It contained two blocks: theoretical and practical.
Within the framework of the theoretical block, the main provisions of criminology and forensic examination were brought to the listeners in a simplified format. Also, the forensic traceological examination of shoe prints was considered in detail: its tasks, objects, typical questions that are put to the expert, the possibilities of expertise.
As part of the practical block, students were given the opportunity to immediately apply their knowledge. The class was divided into four subgroups. Each of those was given a special object: a shoe print.
In the final part of the lecture, Ruslan Rashitkhanov showed educational expert opinions to the schoolchildren. He also answered the audience’s questions of interest.
