On 23 March 2023, members of the Youth Department of the Union of Criminalists and Criminologists held a lecture for the wards of the rehabilitation centre “My family centre “Horizon”.
The lecture was devoted to employment as a way of re-socialization for citizens with a criminal record.
The teenagers were told about the legislation regulating the employment of convicted persons. Statistical data and examples of hiring such persons were given. Ways of employment after serving a sentence were also explained.
The students learned in which areas and positions they would not be allowed to work. At the same time, they were offered alternative options. For example, the teenagers could get a specialized secondary or higher education, take a managerial position in their specialty or become entrepreneurs.
As part of a thematic block on entrepreneurship, an interactive was held. The guys were divided into several teams to discuss and present their business ideas.
