The history of criminal events. 19 November

On 19 November 1581, Tsarevich Ivan, the heir to the throne, died presumably from injuries received the day before in a quarrel with his father, Tsar Ivan the Terrible. The Tsarevich had demanded that his father sent troops stationed near Smolensk to Pskov to defend the city from the coalition led by Stefan Batory. With the death of Tsarevich Ivan’s younger brother Tsar Fyodor in 1598, the 730-year reign of the Rurik Dynasty in Russia came to the end.
