On 1 April 1924 a verdict of high treason was imposed on… Hitler

On 1 April 1924, a Munich court sentenced Adolf Hitler to five years in prison on charges of high treason for participating in the Beer Hall Putsch. In prison, the future ‘Führer’ spent only nine months and was released under an amnesty at the end of 1924. Hitler wrote the book ‘Mein Kampf’ there, which became the political bible of the Nazi movement. The book gained popularity and many people quoted it. By 1939, ‘Mein Kampf’ had been translated into 11 languages, with a total circulation of more than five million copies. The fee made Hitler a wealthy person.
